Pedorthic Certificate Program

Our Pedorthist Certificate Program is designed to prepare you to successfully take the certification exam.

NCOPE, the accrediting body for orthotic and prosthetic education, has implemented new standards of quality pedorthic education. The APS program strives to ensure your competency in each of the required learning domains:

  • Patient assessment
  • Formulation of treatment plan
  • Implementation of treatment plan
  • Patient follow-up
  • Professional ethics & compliance

Certified Fitter of Therapeutic Shoes

A qualified program must be approved by the National Commission on Orthotic & Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) and encompass 16 hours of study.

The learning modules cover all the required content areas you will need to pass the exam. The learning modules are composed of both patient evaluation and fitting.

  • Practice management

Pedorthic Programs for Veterans

The Academy of Pedorthic Science is approved by the state of Georgia as a certified Veteran Training Center by the Department of Veterans Service.

The Pedorthic Certificate Program is approved through the VA for Educational benefits. Active duty and honorably discharged members of the Army, Navy, Air Force and marines may qualify for military education benefits based upon GI Bill coverage and length of service.
